Why Planningtool is different
The short answer: almost every tool can store certificates; some send an alert when one expires — and the scheduler can still publish the shift anyway. Planningtool blocks: the scheduling board knows the rules and flags a non-compliant assignment at the moment of scheduling — no driver without the right licence category, no worker without the required certification, before the crew is dispatched.
Certificates and licences sit somewhere as a document, a spreadsheet or a field on the employee record. The schedule knows nothing. This is what most ERP and HR tools do.
An email when a certificate is about to expire. Better — but alerts get dismissed, and the schedule itself still checks nothing. The assignment goes through anyway.
The rule lives inside the scheduling board. An assignment that isn't allowed — wrong licence category, missing certification, double booking — is flagged immediately, before the schedule is published to site. Orange turns green on the board, not on site.

One scheduling board for your crews, vehicles and equipment — built for contractors who run crews, machines and certifications.
One worker can't be on two sites — and neither can a spreader, crane or van. Even a machine listed under two names — the same crane in a different configuration — is known to the board as one physical unit. Conflicts turn orange instantly, across the whole week.
Every vehicle knows its required EU licence category; every worker their held categories. CE may drive C, BE may not — the board knows before you have to.
SCC/VCA, CSCS, Safe Pass, site-access qualifications, operator certificates — configurable per site: one certified person, two for two machines, or everyone. Non-compliance is flagged before dispatch.
Your own payroll crew is scheduled first by design. Subcontractors and occasional workers are only schedulable when explicitly marked as extra workforce that day.

Pricing follows the size of your schedule — the people and machines on the board. The number of users doesn't matter: planners, project managers and read-only viewers are unlimited.

Yes — deliberately. Planningtool checks the licence and certification requirements you configure; it does not establish legal compliance. Every check can be explicitly overridden when reality demands it. The difference with a missed warning: an override is a visible choice on the board, not an accident. The planner stays in charge.
Your data is kept strictly separated per company and hosted in Belgium. Certificates and licences are personal data; a GDPR data-processing agreement is therefore included.
